The Call is a roaming sound and sculpture installation activated by two ‘sounders’ initiating a playful exploration of site, guided by a series of call and response audio tracks created using a series of vocal recordings gathered and shared from across Dumfries and Galloway featuring the traditional Burns song, Ca’ the Yowes.
Visitors are invited to search out and join the roaming sound installation, taking a short guided journey around the site.

Katie Anderson is a public artist based in Dumfries and Galloway, interested in people, places, materials and collaborative practice. Previous projects include permanent public artworks, temporary site-specific or participatory works, sculptures, lettering and sound based installation.
